The girls are coming.

Yep, time to introduce you to my two girls.

First we have R  who is married to Awesome. 34, smart, head strong and independent as all get out. More later.

#3 child is D who is married to Wonderful.  25, smart, head strong and can be independent as all get out when she wants to be.

I just want to say it, they are coming to visit for the weekend. D will be here Thursday and R & Awesome Friday evening.  My gosh, I sit here in this clean house and think I need to clean house.  So, I am gonna.

Be happy for me because I am.

Finally Friday

This was such a long week at work and one I am glad to have behind me. You know you are in trouble when Wed. you wake up and your FIRST thought is, thank goodness it is Thursday I can do two more days. Ooops! NOT!

Celebrated week ending with a Chinese buffet, which has been 1.5 yrs overdue, even Spoon ate it with me. Yay! Progress is being made, but now we are sitting here in the house, ac is out this evening, and tomorrow is scheduled to be the hottest day this year. Yippee!

Fortunately the repairman answered his phone at 9:15 and will be here in the morning around 9. Wonder if he likes banana bread?

I did catch up with the Back to Square One BOM with Judy last night so for the forst time since this project began I will able to post my picture on her blog the first of the month. I will post the picture on Sunday once I figure this all out.

Till then, have a great labor day weekend and stay cool where ever you are.

What does Terri drive?

If you want to know who I am, then you need to know what I drive and how she is prettied up.

I have driven a truck since 1997, last year in an effort of "rehearsal" I traded in my Colorado and bought a 2012 Nissan Sentra, you know cheaper, great gas mileage but it was a car. It was sensible but more than that it was boring. So June I was not sensible and got what I wanted, a Nissan Frontier knight armor in color, gray. And what looks best with gray. . .pink!!!!!

Pink paws for my love Alex, and butterflies and peace fingers and ying/yang and dream on the back window. I may be 51, but I am still so young inside, and this truck is "me."

Why I put on those ugly shorts to wash her made sense but those legs in the tail gate belong to a fat legged dwarf obviously.

Spoon just shakes his head and smiles, after all this is the woman he knew before the PCa, before the doc visits and before. . .before it felt like we are always swimming upstream.

My first post!!!!

Wow, I have meant to do this for a while, I even played with other names, but when I went to put mine in, this is what came out. From where? Kind of like when you are ordering a meal and you are undecided but whatever comes out of your mouth, thst's it. . your decision. I had decided on quilting upstream, but at the last minute I thought how at different periods I am not quilting. But? I am always piecing my life in patches, or maybe my life is a patchwork to be pieced together? Curious to me. In my household there is a 61 year old husband, we will call him Spoon on here, also his "real" nickname so that should be easy to remember. After a few years of sickness after sickness he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer after testing 1913 on his psa and he has a gleason score of 4+5=9 in March 2011. Not good. Currently he is on Lupron for hormone therapy, Xgeva for the bone mestasis and Zytiga for his cancer. From now on I will say PCa for prostate cancer and HT for hormone therapy, although I don't plan on a lot of conversation along those lines, but just in case. :-) There is also Alex, a 5.5 yr old sheltie diagnosed with cushings syndrome this past spring, and if you know anything of these two disease they belong to the old. My guys are young, but this is where God didn't ask me, did he? But life is good here, and we just keep piecing it back together when it gets torn don't we? This has been a lazy Saturday for us, he pushed himself physically this week so he has been taking his scripts and sleeping, while I sit here and hand quilt on my sunbonnet babies quilt. We did bust out for a bit earlier for hamburger steak at the Cedar Lounge in Morrilton, they make THE best around, just a shame the place is a bar and smells like one for non drinking non smokers like us, lol. Oh well, bellies are full and satiated as well as Alex's since we brought him plenty of leftovers. I should mention I made these 63 blocks last summer, what was I thinking, and had so much fun doing it that I made too many. I mostly quilt by hand so I will be working on this forever I am sure, 13 done at this point. But no worries since I get sidetracked often with other projects. So this is it, #1. I do this on my tablet, so please excuse the errors that pop up, tablets are not the best way to do something like this really, but it is what I have. God loves you and so do I.
